God Provides yet again
So this week was looking rather slow as far as work went for me. I had one hour massage and a half hour massage at doc....and that was it. Well monday i got a phone call from a client who wanted to come to my house(yay that means 100% of the money goes to me) so she came by tuesday, tuesday i recieved a phone call that wednesday I booked a hour massage in the am, Sweet! three massages isn't bad but oh wait it keeps going.....
Another phone call, i booked TWO massages on thursday- so i went in today and low and behold a new client has an emergency and needs a massage so all togather i had 7 massages this week!!!! GOD IS GOOD!!!!! on that note i thought i would post a devotional that really made me think and really made me feel better, so here it is.
Stick To The Plan (4)
Peter replied, 'Tell me to come to You on the water.'
Matthew 14:28 NIV
Peter didn't walk on the water all by himself, he did it with Jesus. Today Christ invites you to walk with Him and experience His miracles. Why don't we see more of them in our lives? Because:
(1) We don't pray and believe God for them. Jesus said, "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you" (John 15:7). Your prayers give God an invitation, an entry point and a channel through which His miraculous power can flow to change your circumstances. But you have to pray and believe Him to do it! (2) We think the day of miracles is past. The Scriptures declare, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever" (Hebrews 13:8). In reality there never has been 'a day of miracles'; there's only a God of miracles, and He never changes. So don't limit Him! (3) We allow sin to sabotage our confidence. John writes, "If our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from Him anything we ask, because we obey His commands and do what pleases Him" (1 John 3:21-22 NIV). (4) We look at the situation instead of the Saviour, and our faith falters. When Jesus told Peter, "Why do you doubt?" He was saying, "Don't allow this storm to overwhelm you. I'm right here with you. Your problem is under My feet, therefore it's under your feet too. Just keep your eyes on Me, keep walking by faith and stick to the plan!"
Another upper for me my oh so sweet hubby hugs me this morning and says "what are our plans for tonight?" I told him we didn't have any and he says "Good, I want to take you to dinner"
wait what??? a date? HOLY CRAP!
Another reason to be happy??? this week my mom came by and not only helped but also supplied paint to paint our basement, we have two walls done and it helps so much! I actually don't run up the stairs anymore to get out of there. The only problem is now i want to finish the blasted basement and we don't have the funds for a drop cieling or carpet....or the third can of paint (we want an accent wall ...scratch the "we"....I want an accent wall) But oh well...a little at a time.
And to end I'm going to do a plug for starbucks~
Have you tried the Starbucks Vivanno blends???? My favorite is the orange mango blend with matcha powder...SO yummy and SO filling. Not to mention i don't feel guilty after indulging. YAY.
Well thats all i have for now hopefully my next post will have pictures of something.

My weekend
This weekend was so nice and relaxing, i loved it! Friday night i went to dinner and a movie with my cousins Megan and Kelly and while waiting for them at the bar at applebees I may have procured a job from the gent and his wife sitting next to me. We saw sister hood of the traveling pants 2, i know i know, but it actually wasn't bad. Incredibly cheasy and what not but i've seen much worse.
Then i met up with some friends to celebrate mellissas 21st at pepinos. That was mediocre but still relaxing so nice.
Yesterday I had a relaxing day baking for a picnic I had to go to for my Aunt carol. She is getting married in October and we got to meet her new step kids. They all seemed so nice and very loving-she found a good family to join. I had a pretty good time there seeing everyone but of course no one my age and my dear husband left me to it all alone...weenie.
And of course after the party we went to Joshs sisters for a pool "Party" It was incredibly tame ben and i swam and then pretty much just watched the olympics and played with amys two pups until midnight and went home.
All in all a very relaxing weekend. Tonight we have church and i don't know what else but i have my final book in the twilight series so i'll prob. loose my self in that for a while.
and that's all i got

Best Week in a long time
This week has been amazing! Started out the best way it could...at the cottage in Traverse City. Ben and i were up there for the weekend and then had to come home sunday night so that I could work this week. Which leads into the other awesome part of the week I actually have massages!!! After a week of none i have 4 of them, had five but the man had to reschedule which actually worked better for me since Ben and I are leaving thursday after my massages and he was the last client. Also Ben got a call yesterday from Saint Maries offering him another position in addition to the one he has now, so instead of working 20 hours a week in one job he is going to be doing fourty a week(hopefully) between the two. Also he was informed that he will be getting a raise. The Lord is definitely working over time for us right now!
And the Best part is we get to go back up to traverse city on thursday and stay until-at this point-wednesday. Oh Heaven on earth here we come!!!!
Another bright spot in my week was I hung out with racine for most of the day yesterday-she helped me do the dreaded suit shopping i was fretting over- we went to lunch and had coffee at her place. I'm so excited to have such wonderful neighbors and I'm more excited for the addition to their house hold.
Well i'm rambling now but I just had to tell the whole world(or possibly the handful of people who read this) that GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been a while eh?
So it has been quite a while since my last post, and quite a lot has changed. The wedding was a dream and the honey moon was a blast and now it's back to my altered reality living on mountain ash.
Things for me are great, I'm terribly in love with my husband and found a new love to bring to my life, reading.
My days get to be rather long seeing as work is incredibly slow during the summer for me-i putz around the house, doing laundry or cleaning up the house, or doing the dishes(no dishwasher=annoying) so reading has really saved me!
I found a new series that i really like-the twilight series by stephanie meyer-Ben is reading it too and it's a perfect escape.
Other than that there really isn't much going on with me. I've been baking a lot and trying some new recipes but i have recently discovered that I despise cooking for two!!!! I would rather feed 4-6 people...those are the meals i like to cook! notso much clean up after but hey.
This past weekend has been kind of a sereal weekend for me- it was three years on sunday that my brother left us and went home, my mom dad sister sara ben and i all hung out togather. ben and i joined my parents for church which was actually something i was dreading, i hate crying in church and on that particular day it was pretty much a gaurentee but the Lord knew what we could handle and it was a message on marriage instead so none of the key crying songs were played and the sermon was easy on us all. After church we headed out to Grand Haven and had a wonderful day eating and playing on the beach-the waves were HUGE!!! After GH we all went to my parents house including my sister amanda and her family and had dinner and what not and then my parents and the two of us went to the cemetary....cue the water works.
This coming weekend promises to be an emotional rollercoaster as well as we go up to Lake Leelanau. It is the most looked forward to two weeks our family spends togather but it was also matts absolute favorite place...lots of memories.
ANY WAY...........
This week ben and i are kind of on pins and needles, we are expecting to hear back about his interview some thime soon.
Keep your fingers crossed for us!!!

about that time
I want to go back to Florida so bad. And i want ice cream right now. ANY WAY..................

lot going on right now! Throughout the week i've slowly been moving into my new place. Our mattress gets delivered saturday and i think that will be my first night there. Exactly two weeks from today is the wedding-it doesn't feel real right now.
This week was super slow as far as work goes but i guess that's ok, I got to work on the programs and ect for the wedding, plus yesterday i was kinda sick so it was ok to have a slow day.
I need to start tanning soon- not to get the fake nasty tan but just so i don't match my dress.
I'm so excited! I checked our registery-yea i know your not supposed too-and we got our kitchenaid mixer!!!!! that like 300 bucks!
Someone must love us.
Well off to do my tasks.

just another saturday
Oh what I wouldn't give for a nice hotel room right now! A nice quiet hotel room with a comfortable bed, big jacuzzi tub, and some piece and quiet! Maybe then i could get some sleep.
Unfortunetly that won't be happening any time soon. Oh well.
Running off very little sleep and babysitting my sisters three kids equals a pretty decent head ache and a wave of exhaustion. Lauren is in the tattle tale faze and also has no desire to be independent even though she'll be four in august- doesn't want to put her shoes on, dress herself or anything. Morgan is super sensitive and super tired pretty much all of the time. If the littlest thing happens she goes into panic mode screaming and crying over the littlest things-for instance waking up her mother(as well as her siblings) with a blood curddling scream at three oclock in the morning because all her blankets had fallen off and onto the ground. Ryer is a typical lil boy, very curiouse and very loud. He'll be a year the end of may and is very busy exploring his new world. that's not so bad- just tiring. His problem is he is so loud. When he is happy he shrieks so loud it puts his sisters to shame, when he is upset he screams pretty much just as loud.
BUT despite all that i still love them-even with all their stalling, yelling, screaming, fighting, and stubborness.... I love them to pieces.
Well it's about time to close up shop for their lunch and start the battle of nap time- hopefully putting the girls down for naps won't wake up their brother in the process.
27 days until the wedding. can't wait.
