A lot has changed

The past year has been amazing. Hard and easy all at the same time. I love being married and having my best friend with me all the time.
Looking back over the year(yes I know I'm a few months early on this look over the year stuff) I see that I've turned yet another new chapter in my life.
My best friend of 10 or so years I haven't spoken to in 6 months.
I have a wonderful relationship with a new friend(prob. the most healthy friendship I have ever had) Laura Eilar and because of her I'm becoming closer friends with some of my older friends.
Work is insanely busy lately (I guess 3 years is the trick).
Ben and I have just started down a path of being Youth Group Leaders at Georgetown CRC which I am so excited about!!!
I've begun to notice that THOSE people, you know the ones you thought you would be in touch with forever, have a way of slowly vanishing into the back ground. Not to say they can't pop into town every now and again and brighten up your life a little!
A big step for me is learning that change isn't just OK it's good!

yet another Monday

Not much to report, crazy weekend that started with a long over due girls night. Bottling saturday and dinner and games with Matt and Laura Sunday.
Alas it's back to the grind, but on the bright side Levi has decided that "Go diego Go" is more entertaining than "thomas the tank engine" So the day is off to a good start.

I guess I'm back

Prob. not going to be writing a lot but now my sister has a blog and I want to keep up with it. So I'm sure if I'm signed in I might put a thought down.
My thoughts today consist of: Men are messy. Wii fit is awesome. and Short hair makes me happy-why did i wait so long to cut it.

6 Items of Enlightenment

I was tagged to list 6 things I've learned lately.

1) I take things far too personal, I almost always feel attacked or defeated and I've been working on not taking things so personally-for the most part it's all in my head.

2) He may not be perfect but he's the closest I've ever encountered-My Husband is amazing wonderful and patient, he is the most generouse loving man and I love him with all my heart(the thing i've learned is that i'm so incredibly blessed)

3)I can live a good and happy life....without carbs! Shocking I know. I was blown away.

4) Friends come and go but family is forever and I have the most amazing family in the world. They are strong, loving, accepting, supporting and just plain awesome! Again i feel like the luckiest girl in the world

5) Dora the explorer is the most annoying kids show/video i've ever seen/heard but I love Little Einstiens(a step up from baby einstiens)

6) I am capable of saying "no" and not feeling guilty about it for days/weeks

I guess that's my list-
I tag summer, missy , and mindy

Prism

I made a deliciouse AND healthy dinner tonight! It's so exciting being in the healthy world-as much as I miss bread and potatoes from time to time it feels so good to buy lots of veggies and such-my fridge is packed and I'm actually proud of whats in it(for the most part) Not only are we losing weight 8 lbs in a week, but we feel better and at least I, can't always speak for ben, feel so much better about myself!
Amazing what one change can do for you.

other than that rant things are going good at the kaashoek residence. Keeping busy with work and just looking to the future. We have so much in the next few months it's crazy!

Invisible

That is how i feel, completely and utterly invisible unless someone wants something-money, a massage, a babysitter.

Most days the only human contact I have all day long is at work, which is usually an hour or so, and some of the time thats just a quiet, no talking massage.

I feel like I have no friends and if I do they have a funny definition of friendship.

Oh well, pitty party over time to face another dreary lonely day.

Hello world, let's do this.

men and women...soooooo different!

So I know that everyone knows this but hey just another reason to add in the big book.

So this morning I had the pleasure of giving a 7:20 massage. So I get up and get ready about 6:30(i live litterally a minute from work) and have breakfast even though my husband said he was going to make it for us but is now on the computer. Go to work do the massage get back around 8:25 hoping to crawl back into bed with my husband and stay there until he had to go to work. I push open the front door to find him playing his play station the first words out of his mouth
"Hey baby how are you? I'm going to do the dishes as soon as i finish this level." He's been up since 6:30 and has done nothing but play video games! ha

so the difference?

Woman sees time to spend togather seeing as we are both home in the morning at the same time for once

Man sees nothing but the video games, not the dishes in the sink, or the un-made bed and couch or a chance to help.

Now I ask If the shoe was on the other foot what do you think the woman would do? clean things up, or would she also dink around the house and ignore it?

What would you do?

Male or female let me know.

**********Just a disclaimer this is not meant to make anyone sound bad it's just noting the differences and wondering if this is just my home that functions this way***********
